NESG welcomes GP registrars in their final months of training as the transition from training to locum work can be a difficult one without peer support and the group has historically provided important means for newly qualified Gps to obtain support and advice from more experienced locums.
When sending in their proof of being on a performers list they should indicate the expected date of completion of training.
GP registrares/ associates in training are not permitted to work as locums -however may enter into negotiations with practices in the last weeks of training in antecipation of taking on work soon after completion of training.
When discussing bookings with practice managers registrars should make it clear that they have not completed their training and when it is due to be completed.
Just send your cheque payable to NESG to the contact given under "where do I send my paperwork" include the following information:
-GMC number
-email address
-phone number
